From Pompeii to Florence, join me for trip of a lifetime as we explore the history of the church through the art, architecture and culture of Italy!
Few experiences touch my soul like the joy of travel, the beauty of art and standing in the presence of history. To see a Roman city (Pompeii) as Paul would have seen it, to behold Michelangelo bringing to life the biblical story in the Sistine Chapel, to stand before the baptistry doors in Florence, knowing they kicked off the Renaissance and all that would follow (including the Reformation)…will change us.
I’ve studied them in endless books, attended countless lectures, but now I want to go in person. (I know from my other travels the magic of “being there”!)
So I’ve managed to talk two of my closest friends – both of whom are experts in the art, architecture and culture of Italy – to join me in leading the Good for Your Soul Tour (June 21-30, 2015). Throughout the trip I’ll be offering lectures and insights on church history, as they offer the same in art history, architecture and food. Together we’ll savor many of the greatest sights and tastes the world has to offer!
